We provide safety, encouragement and opportunities.

The Family Place is Ramsey County’s only day shelter for homeless families with children and is the starting point for any family seeking shelter in the county.

Our guest families arrive each morning to spend their day in a welcoming, safe and supportive environment. Following a healthy breakfast, pre-school kids spend time in our family room and take part in our youth enrichment programs. Their older siblings board buses for school. Parents may meet with our Stability Coach, on-site Ramsey County Human Services staff or participate in parenting classes or other learning opportunities. Two additional meals and a healthy snack are provided.

Throughout each day, we help move our guest families closer to their goals of stable, permanent housing. We help move them home.
